For South by South West’s Gaming Expo this year, I had the pleasure of helping out a really fantastic game called “Rollers of the Realm” by a Canadian outfit called Phantom Compass. It’s a epic fantasy adventure told through a series of gold-stealing, boss-fighting, combat-strategizing, pinball boards with a party of fully upgradable pinball characters. Having bounced (haha pinball pun) between Austin and San Antonio all my life I’ve had several opportunities to frequent Arcades where pinball is king. I’ve also been an avid fan of RPG’s. And this finally combines two really fun game mechanics into one epic realm-saving adventure I MUST OWN NOW. Unfortunately it won’t be out until spring or summer this year… in the mean time I’ll just spend a fortune in quarters at Pinballz Arcade.
